Another late start. We are still
tired. Managed to get to Sherman’s for
brekky at about 9 and just beat the rush!
It was busy there! Another
enjoyable ham steak by David! Sadly,
checked out of our accommodation. Tried
to book to stay again at the end of our trip but they’re booked out. Never mind, we’ve found somewhere else!
Today we are driving to Phoenix, Arizona – about a 4hr drive. Phoenix is supposed to be a tad cooler than
Palm Springs… we’ll see!
Arrived at Woop’s house at about 3.30pm.
Temperature: bloody hot! Woop’s
house is in a great location in the Avondale area, backing on to a canal. He has a pool!!!! In the canal there are catfish and bass,
ducks and the Canada geese have started arriving. They love bread! It was very relaxing sitting out beside the
canal, cold beer, chips and salsa, enjoying the scenery and hearing stories
about the neighbourhood. Woop cooked
steaks on his new grill for dinner. We
all sat in the pool in the evening on various furniture. Fantastic!
