Woop cooked home made waffles for brekky, complete with an assortment of
fresh berries and whipped cream – Scarlet’s favourite!!! Labor Day is notorious for its sales and when
Woop offered to take us to the outlets – we jumped at the opportunity! So he took us to Anthem outlets and we ran
amok in there. All of us came out with a
bag of shopping! Had lunch before
driving out to Lake Pleasant. Yes, a
lake – below the Phoenix area is a giant aquifer which supplies lots of
water. The aquifer is fed by the Colorado
River bringing down melted snow water.
Pleasant Lake is fed from the aquifer – quite a large area with lots of
boats, jet skis, pontoon (party) boats and very BIG boats which we don’t know
how they got to the lake!

Down to Scorpion Bay Marina
Ended up at Scorpion Bay, a marina type area. The boardwalk area has a restaurant/bar, so
we sat out on the deck and enjoyed a cold beer!
On the return trip, we decided to go out for dinner. Woop rang an uber and we ended up at ‘Westgate’. It is an entertainment precinct attached to the University of Phoenix stadium.
I imagine it would cater for the before/after game crowds. We ate at ‘Salt’ restaurant serving tequila and tacos! Had enormous margaritas and fajitas and tamales for dinner.
I happened to mention to our waitress that it was Woop’s birthday, she rewarded him with a free beer (mistaken opening by the barman) and a giant bowl of deep fried ice-cream and three spoons for our dessert!

We were so full after all of that, we ubered home!
